The Stranger On The Street

It was a scary night. The atmosphere was dark and serene. The storm was as fierce as a ranting bull. This wouldn’t be that bad if Carlos wasn’t traveling all alone on that scary street. No there wasn’t a single soul other than Carlos on that street.

Carlos had always avoided this street throughout his life while traveling back home. But today….today it was different. He was late from work and had missed the last bus home. With no other opinion he had to walk down this route.

And this is what he dreaded all his life! He had gone only halfway through the street when he saw a blurry figure standing just a mile away from him. It was a faded image and Carlos couldn’t believe if what he was seeing was a dream or a reality. The stranger was dressed in black from head to toe. A black coat, black boots and a black hat pulled low over his head.

But that’s not all. Dark red spots were visible on his coat and boots. He was a really a spooky sight to see. His hat was pulled low over his head. This was what kept hiding his face from Carlos.

“Wh….who are you?” Carlos stammered nervously. The stranger didn’t reply but instead he advanced towards Carlos. Carlos shrieked in horror. His loud scream for help filled the whole neighborhood but no one came to his rescue.

Carlos didn’t reach home that day. His family and friends searched for him but couldn’t find him anywhere. They soon learnt that he had taken the most dreaded street in New York City. It was only that day when a man dressed all in black had been brutally murdered on that street. His wandering soul was haunting for revenge………. And Carlos was the first victim.

Hope you aren’t the next so, don’t ever travel on a dreaded street all alone because you are bound to meet a stranger…. And maybe he too is dressed all in black. Beware!

Dear nothingman,
I'm sure that I am going to the dark side a little. Am I trying to match with your black eyes??
In fact, I'm trying my hands at different types of writing! Glad that you liked this one.

Dear Meghna,
I liked the story very much. You had earlier written another ghost story on "A ghost all around her" which was excellent. But this is really different and is also equally fabulous.

Keep writing so that we all can come back for more!

Scary story that definitely makes one think about the dangerous of walking alone at night.

Dear Meghna,
Again you have come up with a wonderful story. This time you tried your hands beautifully at a ghost story and is a great success!
