India

India
Inside its heart, lies the impeccable shine
Nobleness is its virtue divine
Doting mother to one and all alike
It gave us birth, it gave us praise
Around the world, none is a country so great

Mother to all, Goddess to me
Yours is an undying jubilee

My heart fills with tears of joy
O my Mother, can I deny?
The love you gave, the food and shelter
Helping hand to each of your daughter
Ecstatic is one born to Thee
Roam the world, see all that is to see; but our India is the love tree

What Do Tears Say?

What Do Tears Say?

The child cries, and wails again

The tears fall, and what do they say?

Oh baby, it’s okay, mom will be here soon

To wipe me away

The girl cries and silently sobs

The tears fall, and what do they say?

Don’t worry He is there looking upon you

And He will send all joys your way

The guy shouts

And tears fall, what do they say?

Oh dear, it was just a match

Just don’t let your confidence fade away

The teacher cries

And tears fall, what do they say?

You aren’t supposed to shed me

Don’t let your students go astray

The workman sighs and turns

As tears fall, what do they say?

Have strength- it’ll all be fine

Don’t let your life go gray

I cry

My tears fall, what do they say?

You know you have friends to help you out

Just get to the blog and write away!

Yesterday or Tomorrow?

Yesterday is history
Tomorrow remains a mystery

I choose yesterday for the blissful times
I choose yesterday, for the wonderful chimes

I choose yesterday to revel in the past
I choose yesterday so my love can last

I choose yesterday never to miss
I choose yesterday cause I can't let go of the bliss

Yesterday is history
Yet tomorrow remains a mystery

I choose tomorrow for the adventure
I choose tomorrow for the new venture

I choose tomorrow for the time that comes
I choose tomorrow for the time it runs

I choose tomorrow for the mysteries
I choose tomorrow to forget the ghastly histories

Yesterday is history
Yet tomorrow remains a mystery

After reading this, tell me, what would you choose? Tomorrow or Yesterday and WHY?

Let Creativity Flow

Let Creativity Flow
Another day, another wish
Black as hell, but nowhere to dish

Can't I ever live as I please?
Doing what I want, and at ease?

Eating wherever I can
Feeding myself from the pan?

Going to every beautiful place around
Having fun and dirtying the ground

Is it necessary I follow all norms?
Just when can I live free from those forms

Killed as I am, I cannot flow
Love and creativity all buried in snow

My eyes can see all that lies beyond
Nevertheless, this society ties me to the ground

Open as the seas and skies
Please can I be like them, where no one cries?

Quit this world and their stupid rules
Rest in peace and act as much as I can like fools

Since long I've been bound in shackles but no more
Today I'll let my creativity flow and not let it deepen inside my core

Until now, I been bound in chains
Very long, I've cried a lot and bore all pains

Well today I'm free
X'mas or not, I'll be meee!

You all see how I let my creativity flow
Zeroed on letting myslef break all norms and be as crazy as I grow!!

Okay......so here's a task for you guys. Go through this poem carefully and then...

.....
....

Do you notice soemthing???
Tell me through comments and I'll tell you finally what's special about this poem!!!

Just A Matter of Time

Depressed

It is just a matter of time
Before the wound heals
It is just a matter of time
Before it stops to bleed

It is just a matter of time
Before you move on
It is just a matter of time
Before it won’t matter for long

It is just a matter of time
When the heart won’t hurt
It’s is just a matter of time
When the blood won’t burst

Just have a little patience
And bear it all the way
And when you see it’s bright again
You know it is the end today!

P.S- My exams are beginning soon so I'm all decked up with books these days. Forgive me for not visiting your blogs. Don't forget me, for I'll be back soon. Till then, keep reading..........

Shimmer Oh Candlelight Shimmer

Candle
Shimmer Oh candlelight shimmer

Though darkness and you shine
There is a faint glow but no light
The darkness dims but never vanishes
What happened to you- who does with all thy might?

Shimmer Oh candlelight shimmer

Your light flickers and dims
No idea what is happening
I stare longingly but the flames fly
As if far away a cry is calling

Shimmer Oh candlelight shimmer

All through a strong wind blows
You keep your might
But flicker…..
When will things get right?

Shimmer Oh candlelight shimmer

Then no longer can you bear
And you die away
What remains is only smoke
Though a flicker of hope still may…..

Shimmer Oh candlelight shimmer

Wish you a very Happy New Year :D

ummm.....remember??

Tonight

The Night Sky

Lying on my back and watching the starry sky, words crept into my mind and VOILA! out emerged these verses! Hope you enjoy this short poem.

Tonight is the very night
You and I unite

Glint in the eyes
And stars in the sky
I've been waiting for this
Ever since we last cried.

For tonight is the very night
You and I unite

The moon shines bright
The leaves on trees sway
The lapping of the river
The games that nature play

For tonight is the very night
You and I unite

I'll look at you,
You'll look at me
And bliss overwhelms us
And everything will be alright

For tonight is the very night
You and I unite

The clock strikes twelve
It is past midnight
I slowly creep to the lonely woods
And wait there while the hungry jackals fight

For tonight is the very night
You and I unite

It's four hours….then seven
No sight of you around the darkness drawn
I stifle back a tear
And walk the lonely path forlorn

For tonight WAS the very night
You and I WERE to unite…….

My sincere prayers for my friends all around India, especailly in MUMBAI or areas around. May all Indains unite and fight back against this terrror. I'm praying hard for all :(

Children Conquer Hearts of Even All Geeks!

Children

Today, I am presenting an Acrostic Poem about children before you. You can read about acrostic poetry on Poetry For All at The Writing Pages.

Calling out, the mothers exhaust

However, their games are never lost

In the rain or scorching sun

Little kids with their bats run

Doodles of energy and sweet innocence

Rekindling the thirst for knowledge and urge men

Every time you pull their rosy cheeks

Naughty yet sweet, little children, conquer hearts of even all geeks!

Is God Really Up There?

IS THE GOOD GREAT LORD REALLY UP THERE?

They say He’s up there
Looking down on you
He’s really busy
Ceasing troubles for all you do

They say He helps you
But can you ever believe?
When you are most in want
His face can never be seen

If He’s really there
There wouldn’t have been so many sufferings
You’d tell me they are essential; for they teach the way of life
Then, if life is so difficult, why can’t He make it light?

If He’s there, why can’t He enlighten this world?
With his ever vivid light
And bring a ray of new hope
Upon every evil dark night?

And if not all this, why would He not save himself?
Man has made so many partitions in His name
For the sake of temples or churches
But He quietly bears this discrimination of his fame!

But never mind, I know He is
For world has made so many amends
And it’s not man who does it all
It’s HIM and I’ll be waiting till He reads this call!

Okay, so now it’s your turn to enlighten me and answer this question which troubles a thousand minds alike- IS THE GOOD GREAT LORD REALLY UP THERE?

The Waters

Girl, Sea and The Water

The glimmering silver sand

And the eternal sea shells;

I bend to pick them up

Yearning for everything, to immerse in my hand

They entrance me in their melodious songs

The sea-gull whistling by

With the waters drooling and swishing

I try to join, as my heart longs

The many years that flashed by

The never-ending cries

They all sound a distant dream

As the water, lashes by

Entrancing me with their tranquility

The waves strike the sand

Captivating parts of them with it

Sweep me off, amidst the rushing sea

The exorbitant beauty enticing me like they had never

I longed to see the sun set as the enormity spread

And the shadows envelop the entire earth

While I stand and wish it to be this way forever!

School, Studies, Nightmares!

School, Studies, Nightmares

Geography tells me America is here

While Biology troubles making human bodies clear

History tells me about what all has been done

Maths keeps on reminding, "There is no time for fun!"

Chemistry teaches me about atoms and compounds

While Physics reads out how the robots came around

English disturbs me with Shakespeare and Grammar

Environmental Education tells me not to stammer

And then they trouble me in my nightmares

As I dread failing in the tests, for all one cares

Now I know I'll die with a book in my grave

Inscribed on my tombstone would be, "Kids have to be really brave!"

The Earth Of Every Man's Dream!

May peace prevail on Earth
And the candles of light shine brightly
May there be tranquility everywhere
And people live forever happily

May all the wars vanquish
And people stand forever united
Tackling with valor, troubles they face
For peace, their courage they bade

May Lord listen to all prayers
And people live as a single team
May the Almighty make the Earth
The Earth of every man's dream!

To My Mother ....

This poem is for my mother on Mother's Day. This was written and published by me earlier as 'Pretty Angel'. Hope you all enjoy it!

When I’m lonely, when I’m distressed
When I don’t understand
What life is and what it means
An angel comes from above and holds my hand

She consoles me and enlightens me
Making me understand what life is
She lays her warm hands over me
Her love is something I can’t miss

This pretty angel is the light of my life
And the gem of my heart
She is none other than my benevolent mother
Someone with whom I can never part!

I have the power to dream......

People are happy and so merry
And life is as sweet as cherry

Ice creams, chocolates everywhere
No one’s heart can ever tear

Nobody sheds a single tear
For life to them, is very dear

A canopy of lush green trees
From the abysmal hold of mankind it frees

The nightingale sings it’s melodious song
The birds joining in along, before long

Squirrels frolic happily in the grass
Without a smile you can’t pass

These wonderful sights in my eyes gleam
Because I have the power to dream
Because I have the power to dream…….

The Shining Stars

The stars shining brightly

Millions and millions of them

Twinkling in the hazy sky

They look like a faraway gem

They are so lovely

Forming new things in the sky

Sometimes it’s a scorpion

Sometime a butterfly!

I just wish they were a bit nearer

That I could extend my hands and touch them

Feeling the tenderness and affection of their touch

And happiness in my life, they’d condemn!

I wish I could catch them

And decorate them in my home

These twinkling, shining little beauties

Would lay embedded in my heart’s dome!

The Prince!

He cried when he saw them

The children at the park

Playing and playing and having fun

Where he could not make his mark

He looked at them with eyes

That were glistening with envy

Oh how he wished to be there too

With remorse he said, Oh Lord! Why me?

He kept looking from day to dawn

Until the game was over

And until a harsh sound he heard

Calling him down for dinner

How could he forget?

That a royal prince he was

Who could not even have the pleasure

Of even walking on the wet moss

How could he forget?

That the Palace was his only home

And the world outside the window

Was but a covered dome

He never could play in the sun

Nor even in the sparkling rain

Not when the trees shed their leaves

Or the Earth became a white plane

He was always provided with luxury

The best a man could get

His parents thought the Prince was happy

Not knowing happiness he had never met

Money could not buy everything

But who would make them understand?

The desire of this little child; who was tagged a Prince

But in his heart and soul he remained a young hand!

People must have always thought how much fun the life of a Prince or Princess would be. But have you ever looked at the other side of the coin?

The Wonderful Summer Days

The gentle summer breeze

The enriching fragrance of flowers

The sound of the bells of the ice-cream van

Everything reminds me of my last summers

What a wonderful time I’d have

Singing songs and playing in the sun

Picking flowers and fruits from the trees

And eating mangoes, which was real fun!

Eating many ice-creams

Eagerly waiting for the ice-cream man to come

We all would shout out in glee

And for the tasty treats we’d run

Ah! I remember those wonderful times

When I look out today

The dark, serene and awfully cold scene outside

Makes me remember that good old summer days!

Newton And The Apple Tree!

When Newton sat under an apple tree

And saw an apple fall

What did he discover, dear children?

I want an answer from all

An excited chatter followed

The whole class in a mess

Everyone was in a bid to answer

To have a golden star on his dress!

A child stood up from the back

And after a silence for free

He said, “Newton thanked Lord

That he wasn’t sitting directly under a coconut tree!"
