A Letter

Writing a Letter to Oneself

Dear MY HEART AND SOUL,

I’m sorry for not listening to you and taking the right decision while I saw my friends prompting each other during the test. I’m sorry they got caught too.

I’m sorry for shouting at my friend who was just asking me a Maths sum. I couldn’t get it right myself, so I guess I was frustrated. I’m really sorry dear!

I’m sorry for missing the good movies during exams. And all the more sorry coz the DVD at home has gone all weird shouting and beeping all at the wrong time.

I’m sorry I couldn’t do better in the Maths exam. I’m sorry if I went down on my parents, family and teacher’s expectations.

I’m sorry for watching with awe, as a 16 year gal at my school got a driving license and then complementing her on her rash driving.

I’m sorry for being jealous of my friend coz she got really good marks in the exams and all the attention.

I’m sorry for going wrong in friendship so many times. I know people at my age do, and this is how they learn but nevertheless, I am sorry.

I’m sorry there’s so much to study this year. The entire 200 page books are coming for the exams in mostly all subjects. They call it drilling us for the ICSE? I’m sorry!

I’m sorry I haven’t eaten chocolates since 3 days.

I’m sorry I couldn’t play much with the new mobile dad bought.

I’m sorry I broke the beautiful tea-set mom bought. I liked it too, but I don’t know how it fell from my hands.

I’m sorry that even the thought that multiple piercing on the nose, ear, brows etc. like my friends have, was COOL at this age, even crossed my mind.

I’m sorry for not catching up on my blogger friends and giving reasons like reaching class 9 and how the burden of studies has increased (though it’s true).

I’m sorry for not being as enthusiastic about studies like I am about every new fiction on the bestseller stand.

I’m sorry about troubling my parents for all trifles, though I know how hard they work and how they aim towards fulfilling all my dreams.

I’m sorry for always fighting with my brother.

I’m sorry for all other mistakes I’ve done……..

I know this letter would go longer than the Eiffel Tower if I go beyond apologizing beyond the wrong things I did during this week.

I’m sorry for thinking that I can never go wrong.

I’m sincerely sorry !

Yours loving,

Your body aka Me aka Meghna

I just found out that writing an apology letter to yourself is the best way to realize what went wrong and how. I know this letter is kiddish and immature but it’s straight from the heart nevertheless. This is my way of thinking over the week and apologizing to myself over what I think I did wrong.

Try one yourself, and please share what all you’d include!

Yesterday or Tomorrow?

Yesterday is history
Tomorrow remains a mystery

I choose yesterday for the blissful times
I choose yesterday, for the wonderful chimes

I choose yesterday to revel in the past
I choose yesterday so my love can last

I choose yesterday never to miss
I choose yesterday cause I can't let go of the bliss

Yesterday is history
Yet tomorrow remains a mystery

I choose tomorrow for the adventure
I choose tomorrow for the new venture

I choose tomorrow for the time that comes
I choose tomorrow for the time it runs

I choose tomorrow for the mysteries
I choose tomorrow to forget the ghastly histories

Yesterday is history
Yet tomorrow remains a mystery

After reading this, tell me, what would you choose? Tomorrow or Yesterday and WHY?

Ugly Catty!

The Ugliest Cat in the World
We all want to know the most beautiful man and woman in the world, the most beautiful city, the most beautiful picture etc. But yesterday, by a stroke of luck I put on my thinking cap about which was the most beautiful cat in the world! LOL!

Anyways, then I thought, why beautiful? But while browsing, I came upon some words hinting on some cat which is regarded as the ugliest cat in the world.

So I browsed the net about the ugliest cat, and came to know about the eight-year old cat "Ugly Bat Boy" (Uggs).

Uggs lives in a US veterinary hospital for his owner refused to take him, regarding him s the ugliest cat. He has become somewhat of a center of attraction in New Hampshire.

His physical appearance to be described is a real mess. His upper body is covered in a mesh of hair but the rest of his body is hairless and hard. The most probable reason for this maybe genetic fault. His tail is lean and rat-like while his face is a chaos of wrinkles.

He is now cared by Vet Dr. Stephen Barrett who felt touched for him after his owner abandoned him.

Isn't this strange? I mean, is it right to regard a cat as ugliest?? Do we humans not care? In our case we have Miss World, Miss India etc. which crowns the most beautiful lady, but then why don't we have a Miss Ugly or Mr. Ugly?

I guess that's the problem with us. God has certainly made us superior to animals and others on Earth, but we don't have the right to treat them as we wish, only because they cannot speak or understand our language.

Now, if you have any different thoughts, I'd be glad to hear them!! What's the comment section for, after all?

P.S- Good news! Uggs is attaining fame and has even been invited to a chat show.

P.P.S- I get my result tomorrow!!! O gosh!! Can you see my hair standing??

Just A Matter of Time

Depressed

It is just a matter of time
Before the wound heals
It is just a matter of time
Before it stops to bleed

It is just a matter of time
Before you move on
It is just a matter of time
Before it won’t matter for long

It is just a matter of time
When the heart won’t hurt
It’s is just a matter of time
When the blood won’t burst

Just have a little patience
And bear it all the way
And when you see it’s bright again
You know it is the end today!

P.S- My exams are beginning soon so I'm all decked up with books these days. Forgive me for not visiting your blogs. Don't forget me, for I'll be back soon. Till then, keep reading..........

Shimmer Oh Candlelight Shimmer

Candle
Shimmer Oh candlelight shimmer

Though darkness and you shine
There is a faint glow but no light
The darkness dims but never vanishes
What happened to you- who does with all thy might?

Shimmer Oh candlelight shimmer

Your light flickers and dims
No idea what is happening
I stare longingly but the flames fly
As if far away a cry is calling

Shimmer Oh candlelight shimmer

All through a strong wind blows
You keep your might
But flicker…..
When will things get right?

Shimmer Oh candlelight shimmer

Then no longer can you bear
And you die away
What remains is only smoke
Though a flicker of hope still may…..

Shimmer Oh candlelight shimmer

Wish you a very Happy New Year :D

ummm.....remember??

Pages From A Diary

Diary
12th November, 2008

I'm back from college. Being there made me homesick. So I'm rushing back to Mumbai- to my house, my family, my people and my love. My bliss and overwhelming sense of relief is certainly taking hold of me, coz though I'm exhausted, the excitement brimming inside me, cannot let me sleep. I'm writing from the plane right now, and am not worried about my co-passenger asking me what I’m doing, because he's a 60 year old man, sound asleep now (I can see him drooling-eeeewwww). I cannot stop dreaming of Mom's wonderful vadaa pao and daddy's hearty laugh.

13th November, 2008

I'm at home now and sitting in my good old' room. Nothing has been moved since I left. My miniature car collection is still there and hey....there's the cute superman model. My comics are staked in the drawer too. I fell my childhood coming back. Today I'm going to meet some of my old friends at the Taj Hotel which is a ten step walk from home. It's a party there.

17th November, 2008

I just cannot content myself with the hours I spend on mom's laps or discussing matters with daddy We all went to our farmhouse today.

Oh! How I love my family.

20th November, 2008

I'm leaving for Chennai today. Am really sad to leave mom and dad for even a day. It's a week actually. I'll be back on 27th. It is for a friends wedding, one i cannot leave. Mom and I went shopping and we bought some really good clothes for me. On my insistence, she also chose a wonderful saree.

I bid goodbye but still dream of them.

Oh come on boy! You'll be back in week and there still is the phone.

25th November, 2008

I just talked to mom and dad. They are going for an anniversary party tomorrow at Taj. Whew.....finally. After I left for college, mom and dad had shunned their social life. After two years, it is now that they have finally agreed to go to a social gathering. Guess what? Mom is going to wear the new saree we bought.

.................Serial Blasts Mumbai..............

All is over, I have no family left..............

Note: This is an imaginary journal (my fictional creation) of a 18 year old guy. I don't think there is need to say more. If the terrorists do not have a heart of iron or stone, they might have realized what atrocities have been faced by others, reading umpteen articles like these.

P.S- Have a Merry Christmas guys!
