IQ Level?

British Teenagers IQ Level diminishing

I just read some shocking results of some tests carried out in 1980, which were repeated again in 2008.

I’m talking about IQ tests for teenagers in Britain, of course!

But can you guess what the result is?? I already gave a clue…..whatever they are, the results are seriously shocking!!

It shows that the average points for 14-year-old dropped by more than two points over the period.

Among those in the upper half of the aptitude scale, a group that mostly consists of children from middle class families, showed an even worse result, with an average IQ score six points below what it was 28 years ago.

Can you believe it? And then the Gen Next calls it the IT hub and what not!!

The trend marks an abrupt reversal of the so-called "Flynn effect" which has seen IQ scores rise year on year, among all age groups, in most industrialized countries throughout the past century.

Professor James Flynn, of the University of Otago in New Zealand, the discoverer of the Flynn effect (which states that IQ scores rise year after years, among all age groups, in most industrialized countries.) and the author of the latest study, believes that this abnormal drop in British teenage IQ could be due to youth culture having gone down the drain.

He found that while children aged between five and 10 saw their IQs increase by up to half a point a year over the three decades, teenagers performed less well.

Other studies have shown how pervasive teenage youth culture is, and what we see is parents' influence on IQ slowly diminishing with age.

The only thankful result is that the test wasn’t conducted on Indian students (though I hope they’d have given better results) or who knows, what a heart attack the parents might have got!!

Just imagine the parents struggling day and night, and what for? Their children to get even lower grades than they did 20 years ago!

This really is distressing new guys. I just gave a loud sigh!

What do you think? Care to share your thoughts please!

Ugly Catty!

The Ugliest Cat in the World
We all want to know the most beautiful man and woman in the world, the most beautiful city, the most beautiful picture etc. But yesterday, by a stroke of luck I put on my thinking cap about which was the most beautiful cat in the world! LOL!

Anyways, then I thought, why beautiful? But while browsing, I came upon some words hinting on some cat which is regarded as the ugliest cat in the world.

So I browsed the net about the ugliest cat, and came to know about the eight-year old cat "Ugly Bat Boy" (Uggs).

Uggs lives in a US veterinary hospital for his owner refused to take him, regarding him s the ugliest cat. He has become somewhat of a center of attraction in New Hampshire.

His physical appearance to be described is a real mess. His upper body is covered in a mesh of hair but the rest of his body is hairless and hard. The most probable reason for this maybe genetic fault. His tail is lean and rat-like while his face is a chaos of wrinkles.

He is now cared by Vet Dr. Stephen Barrett who felt touched for him after his owner abandoned him.

Isn't this strange? I mean, is it right to regard a cat as ugliest?? Do we humans not care? In our case we have Miss World, Miss India etc. which crowns the most beautiful lady, but then why don't we have a Miss Ugly or Mr. Ugly?

I guess that's the problem with us. God has certainly made us superior to animals and others on Earth, but we don't have the right to treat them as we wish, only because they cannot speak or understand our language.

Now, if you have any different thoughts, I'd be glad to hear them!! What's the comment section for, after all?

P.S- Good news! Uggs is attaining fame and has even been invited to a chat show.

P.P.S- I get my result tomorrow!!! O gosh!! Can you see my hair standing??

A Record Fail!

Seriously guys, reading newspapers these days is worth it…..nah…..am not talking about the rising rates of crime or the economic recession. But just think about the bizarre news these papers publish.

I was flipping through the paper this morning and stumbled upon an interesting bit of news about a South Korean Grandmom (Granny) who just cannot give up. This lady, known as Cha has failed her driving test……so whats the big deal, eh? Many do…..but no….she has failed for the 771st time. WOW~

For a record number, this 68 year old, Cha, has appeared for the test almost every working day since 2005 at Jeonju. (OMG!! How can one be so determined?) . And this Monday, she failed again, creating a record number of fails!

And imagine what? The local newspaper reports say that she might appear again.

Choi Yong-Cheol, a police sergeant supervising the test in the city's Deokjingu district says that Cha could not get through the preliminary written section of the test. She left behind margin of 10, getting 30-50 whereas the pass marks were 60.

"It was a record-breaking number here," Choi Yong-Cheol, a police sergeant supervising the test said.

Cha is a 68 year old lady, who sells food and household items door to door at apartment complexes, carrying the items in a handcart, but wants to get a car for her business.
Estimates say that she has spent almost five million won ($5600) to take the written tests in addition to other expenses.

I have full sympathies for this poor lady. But whatever you say, one cannot stop being in awe of this 68 year old. If this had happened to me, I would have just appointed a driver and left LOL!

Anyways, here she stands strong on the saying, try try until you succeed, and even if you don’t, just try to get this recognition, and then you'd do better :P

The Modern Punishment For Students

The Modern Punishment For Students
Flipping through the newspaper is an old habit of mine. And at times, it very beneficial too. If you remember my earlier post-What A Unique Way To Honor Students!, where I told you all about eco-friendly rewards for brilliant students, here is another quite fascinating information similar to that.

Yes, this is an interesting news I read, and mind you, when I say interesting, I mean it....so chill, coz I am not taking about any sensex downfall or something LOL!

The latest news is that in Agra, known for its eternal beauty and peace, The Taj Mahal, a school has decided to abide to its culture and give it's students a punishment as peaceful and beautiful as that. Don't believe? Read on and you'll know.

Down the bin go those old punishment rules of beating, caning, standing out and all, for 166-year old St. Peter's College has decided a beneficial punishment for students, YOGA!!!

Yes, yoga. That's the new in-thing punishment, and I have to agree with the principal of the college, John Fareira, that it is a kind of guru-cool punishment indeed!

It includes pranayam and other postures. This is indeed one of the greatest punishment I can think of, and hope it is implemented in all schools around the world. Not only will it help the students, but the peace of mind may help them critically analyze and understand their mistake.

This school has also gone a step further by getting rid all junk food and colas in the school canteen. Usually students not obeying or not finishing their work do yoga but occasionally when the whole class is creating some trouble, they all have to do pranayam for 10 minutes.

The principal has noble thoughts as he wants the children to be focused and disciplined and therefore emphasizes on yoga.

So what say guys?? Doesn't this health oriented punishment rock??

What A Unique Way To Honor Students!

Tree

What a unique eco-friendly way to honor meritorious students! I am really impressed.

Curious news around the world is a daily source of information and interest for me and maybe for every second Indian too. I just cannot resist reading and writing about them on my blog :P

Schools = Intelligence = Toppers. Okay, TOPPERS or MERIT HOLDERS! Isn't that name, a craving for everyone? A craving not to know that you are most intelligent or something.....but a craving to earn an honorable award of merit for you hard-work!

Why do I ask this, eh? Wait....have tad bit patience for I'm coming to the point soon! But before that, one more thing! School reminds me of something else too, the compulsory subject, Environmental Education (E.V.Ed) which the ICSE board has marked compulsory for students till 12th. And I literally think there's no subject worse than that!

No, no! I do not mean that. What I mean is that we usually have similar books till 12th and they teach us the same old boring things, i.e. To protect the Environment = Plant tress (awww....how many times will I do that then?) and Acid Rain, CFC, CNG and same old things all over again. It is only additional burden too.So I plainly think EVE period is a waste of time.

If teachers are so keen on teaching, we should do something practical that generates interest than the same old boring text book. Like my school has recently supported a mission of planting trees but that isn't counted into our grades. Okay, back to square one. Why did I blabber so much eh?

Tree-Meghna

Mangalayatan University in Aligarh has found an unusual way to honor their meritorious students, or rather eco-friendly, I'd say. This time around, talented kids are not being awarded any kind of medals, trophies or cash. It's different guys!

The university has decided to award students a tree, yeah! They have set up a "TOPPERS AVENUE" inside the campus itself, where they are planting trees each time, in the name of toppers! Yes, the tree kind belongs to the good student. It stands tall and majestic, as a prize for their hard work and dedication.

Cool? I think it's a fabulous idea. This is what I call abiding to thy own teaching! Along with helping the environment and igniting the fire of realization inside the students, the name of the topper will be eternally indelible!

Also, I think the child honored or his friends and family will take care of the tree as their own, just as you take care of all trophies or certificates you have won? Isn't it? And who knows...the child may unknowingly begin to help others around to realize how important a role trees play in the livelihood of mankind!

Fine...fine...I know it's time to shut my blabbering large mouth and time to know what you guys think! Time for you to get to work and share your views.

I am also going to share this article at school so any more innovative ideas for my school to follow, or to help others just as this school is doing, please share through comments. I'll share all of that at school with my teachers and will tell you the result soon :)

Killer Maths

M- Mental

A- Ability

T- To

H- Handle

S-Strenuous Sums

Yea....that's what maths aka mathematics actually stands for. It's a deadly ghost, a hound that troubles me in all my nightmares, which usually consists of ghastly numbers jumping around with me trembling in the center.

It looks as if all these numbers and signs (addition +, Subtraction - etc.) are deadly tribal spirits waiting for the right moment to place their poisonous teeth on me when I create a mistake and kill me with their venom.

It's the toughest thing in life and most difficult. Yes, mathematics is. I just finished my exams, as you people know, and maths was the toughest of all. I did not get a wink of sleep the night before the math exam, ummm.... I should say I was afraid to sleep or I'd have another of those deadly math nightmares.

I do not know why a student needs to do maths. Wake up teachers!!!! This is the 21st century. The technological advancement is so very huge and human life is addicted to technology.

So why in this modern world, with various calculators, high-tech puzzle solvers, net helps and computers does a student need to do maths after all? Can he not survive in this world without it? and with the help of all these gadgets?

I am doing english, physics, chemistry, biology, geography, history.....but why MATHS??? Arrrgghhhh......I can still remember the day when I sat in the exam hall, scribbling away on sheets.....numbers unknown, calculations mistaken....no idea where the mind was, a math bug bit in the center, head screamed.....but I went on scribbling, afraid to close my eyes or faint!!!

I had a sip glasses of water just to satisfy my parched throat, though it was no respite, I'd say it was strength. I cannot tell you how much relief and sense of satisfaction I felt after submitting away my Mathematics paper, giving it all away for the teacher to bear and mark/grade.

And each year it's like this.....I HATE MATHS guys!!! It's a really really terrible nightmare for me. I cannot stand it....argghhhh :X

So anyone there to give me a suitable reason why I need to do maths....after all, there are so many calculators and stuff, why can I not just use them and be glad???

P.S- This post is in fond memory of my brain which died after remembering that tomorrow I'm gonna be shown the math paper. Before dying, it told me to apologize for posting so late and not commenting, all due to some movies I'd to catch up on and books I had to read.

May my brain lie in peace till the killer, mathematics is caught!

A Mere 17 Inch Horse!

Thumbeline - World's Smallest Horse
So here's this really interesting news that I stumbled upon…a mere 17 inch horse! See for yourself in the picture! The world's smallest horse. A miniature dwarf!

The authorities have christened her Thumbeline (really cute….you know why!) and she has been reported as the world's official most shortest horse. The real Thumelina was born on an American farm to a couple who specialize in breeding miniature horses.

Now she is so small and so cute you could hold her in your hands and breed her like little puppies (Pet lovers and puppy crazy…I see you heart go BOOM! he…he..).

Horses usually weight about 250lb and rise to a height of 34 inches when they are fully grown. But for Thumbelina, it's a different story. Ever since she was born, she the day she was born it was clear that tiny Thumbelina would never grow to that size. She weighed in at only 8lb - the size of a new-born baby - when she was born. Eventually she grew to just 60 lb.

People are enthralled by her and she is a show stopper in her hometown, America. She has been affected by a horse disease called Dwarfism. Her owners, the Goessling family in Goose Creek farm in St. Louis, are in awe of her. They say she likes to hang out with the cocker spaniels rather than the other horses on their 150-acre farm. ( Now that gets me thinking…)

Quoting the family's words, "Because her legs are proportionally smaller than her body and her head, she has to wear orthopaedic fittings to straighten them out a lot of the time."

"But we love her and wouldn't want her any other way," said Michael Goessling, whose parents Kay and Paul bred the miniature horses.

As seen in the picture, the cute little miniature measures or reaches only uptil the shin of horses! You just need to feed her a cup of grain and a handful of hay, served twice a day. Unfortunately, she is expected to live to the age of 17 years only because of her size - normal horses live for about 35 years.

I've done horse-riding once or twice but now I'm going really crazy….I wonder if there is a real human baby too who could ride her…. and you bet you'll catch me there watching that captivating pair…Sigh!…I am always in my dream world :P

Do You Need A Burglar To Clean Your Home?

Couple make burglar to clean their home at gun point

Ah….a burglar chose the wrong option to mess with the McKinnon family in Montgomery…yeah actually!

I was just reading this article: 'Couple make burglar clean their home at gun point'! LOL! I thought of sharing this wonderful news with you all, if you're ever in need of a janitor!!

When Adrian and Tiffany returned home after a week long vacation, they shattered down to see that their house was void of their essentials and the place was littered around with hoards of trash! A thief had burgled their home!

Their Centennial Hill home on Tuesday was emptied of almost everything the family of five owned. Adrian left the teary wife to her sister while he inspected their other belongings. But another shock awaited him as he entered his bedroom! As he walked in….a man in black stumbled upon him!

Yes it’s true….although it sounds crazy, Adrian caught the “dirty” thief red-handed. The silly thief also had the owner’s cap hanging on his head idiotically! The couple held the criminal, a 33-year old Tajuan Bullock at gunpoint and decided what to do.

Eventually, they decided to make him clean (yeah…you heard it correct) the house before the police arrived. Adrian ordered him about to clear up the things back into the cupboard and settle their belonging into the cabinets which had all been littered dirtily on the floor!

When the police arrived, we hear that the thief was impudent enough to complain to the policeman and accused the couple of unworthy behavior of making him clean the house…(Yeah…as if he was a sweeper and not a thief, eh? He…he…). But fortunately the inspector only laughed and told him that he could have encountered dire circumstances of getting killed or shot as the owner had a gun!

So…what I said absolutely true! And it was fantastic too….Tajuan could happily become a sweeper after he is released and after all, he is experienced too now!

Cake-less Birthdays!

Cake-less birthdays lead to weightless children!

Cakes and birthdays have always been like synonyms, haven’t they? And what’s the first thing that comes to mind when you think of a Birthday? Yeah, cake, of course…ummm….yummmyyy…..my mouth waters even at the thought of it!

But I learnt recently, that a school in Wellington, New Zealand has banned children from bringing cake to school on birthdays! Students of Oteha Village primary school, situated in North Auckland have been informed that they can happily celebrate their Birthdays but without the involvement of cakes! Their cakes should remain at home.

And all these measures have been taken due to Government’s new healthy eating guidelines. It is said that the ministry is on a fat-reducing campaign in which they have made bizarre laws for the unhealthy eating habits in New Zealand schools.

Whooop…. I’m glad this has not been done in my school! birthdays are the only times when pupils can enjoy delicacies with their friend amidst the peer pressure for studies. Don’t you think this is wrong? Childhood is a time to eat and have fun and not to diet or reduce weight, eh? I would love to know what you all think!

Pen Spinning- A New Hobby

Pen spinning….ummm…does this ring a bell? Yes, maybe… Maybe you tried doing this in your high school days to impress the students and get into the amazingly famous group…or maybe you tried it after seeing the guy next door doing it with ease! Anyway, have you ever imagined that this funky pastime actually has a group devoted it to it?

Pen spinning is much more than a hobby in Japan. The Pen Spinning Association of Japan holds many contests in the honor of this game! Surprised? I too was, when I heard about his…but behold! There are more surprises to come!

A sixteen year old high school student, Ryuki Omura, emerged as the champion of the recently concluded contest organized by PSA of Japan. He was chosen along with 16 other finalists from a 276 videos to show his talent in Tokyo. The participants were to do a regular 30 second routine of spinning a pen in the hand, flicking it from the little fingers to the other fingers then tossing it and bouncing it off the thumb before twirling it miraculously in the palm.

So, looks like the young brigade it out on the toll once again! If not in major sports (actually they have earned reputation in many of them too) many teenagers like Omura, are doing their parents, friends and nation proud by actively participating in these subsided competitions.

And now I take your leave…..Little finger to other fingers, tossing it…Ahhhh! I’ve been trying for an hour but it’s all fruitless…Looks like I have got to try even harder! Bye……

Don’t Grow Long Hair!

'Bald Is Beautiful' No, there is no such saying! Then why? Because I have to ask you a simple question.

Have any of you got long, silky hair? Why this sudden interest in hair, you might ask?

Imagine yourself with long, good hair. You have grown this hair after hard work of around a decade. You are then flaunting your beauty while walking on the street back home.

Suddenly, a motorcyclist whizzing by, stops besides you. He takes out a knife/scissors and LOL! Cuts all your hair making you almost bald in a few minutes!

This is exactly what a lady at Rio De Janeiro in Brazil experienced. According to reports, a lady who had long hair (more than four feet) which she had been trying to grow since 20 years was walking on the street while returning home from church.

Two men on a motorcycle stopped by, took out a machete and cut her hair! Destroying all her hard work in minutes and leaving her with less than shoulder length hair!!

Strange, eh? Now I do not know if they too were bald or if they were going to use that hair to make wigs which could be sold at $555. All I can say is, if you have long hair, you are lucky not to be in Brazil!

The Chilled Hen!

I have not heard of anything like this before. This is baffling, if I may say! You say humans are far better than animals eh? It’s time to change your mind then cause guys, I believe no human could have done what this naive little hen did!

A Chinese man was in for a surprise! Gan Shugen of Chengdu City got a hen as a gift from one of his relatives (a strange gift eh?) Gan says that when he received the gift, it was wrapped in thick plastic with the legs of the hen bound together!

Thus assuming that the hen was dead, Gan dropped it into the freezer without a second thought. Two days later, when he opened the freezer he was amazed at what he saw!

Weak sounds could be heard from within and when he opened the plastic bag…Behold!.....a small red head popped out! It was still warm so Gan opened the tape and unbelievingly the hen could still stand!

So, what do you think? I suppose this small little hen is giving a tough fight to the human species because I believe no human could have ever done this!

Eat Seafood And Become Rich!

Today while flipping through the black and white morning newspaper one of the articles caught my attention. My eyes nearly pooped out (so much that I felt they would drop down!) when I read the article. I am sure you all will be amazed too after reading this post.

It's party time for a couple from USA after an unbelievable incident took place to turn their lives. George and Leslie Brock had gone to a seafood joint in Lake Worth Florida to enjoy a luxurious seafood dinner. They were eating steamed clams (umm…..) when they made the shocking discovery.

He was only halfway when Brock encountered something hard while eating his dinner at Dave’s Last Resort and Raw Bar. Their tasty dish made them a millionaire! He and his wife were incredulously astonished to find a rare, iridescent purple pearl among the shellfish.

Experts who have seen the pearl say that the find is certainly worth a thousand of pounds. Gemologist, Antoinette Matlins says that few of these gems are round and even fewer have such lovely color. She thinks they have found something very valuable, precious and gorgeous. Such pearls are most commonly found in large New England quahogs-clams known for violet coloring inside their shells.

Certainly a lucky find, I would say. Only few people have such blessings by God showered upon them and this couple was one of them. Ah! How their lives changed in a day while eating yummy seafood dinner! So guys, every vegetarian out there and those who do not like seafood, I will advice you all to start eating seafood especially steamed clams if you are waiting for an easy and lucky way to become a millionaire! Who knows when your lucky stars may shine upon you?

Top Secret Bank Vault Plans In Trash Bin!

A trash bin can also hold something highly valuable!!

A strange event took place recently in
Berlin! I found it while flipping through the daily morning newspaper and as it was interesting, I thought I’d present it before you!

A Berlin hairdresser was dumbstruck when he found top-secret plans of a safety vault at Berlin Bank Branch in….in…a…guess what?...in a bin! Yeah! You’ve read it correctly! This valuable information was discovered in a bin!

As I had some doubts and as it was unbelievable, I confirmed it on the net too. If you still have some doubts, you can see the full news here or here!

For further information and to fulfill the hunger if all those curious souls, the Bank in Western Berlin was officially reopened once again after renovation works which cost more then 150 million euros!

And then came the lucky hairdresser! He found the detailed information including comprehensive drawings of the safety arrangements at the bank and the location of people detectors, stairwells, grilled gates and measurements of the depth of the vault’s floor!

I must say that the hairdresser was an efficiently honest man to immediately inform the police about his discovery! This shows that good and kind hearted people still reside on this Earth!

Kudos to such kind souls! Hope you agree with me and you’re welcome to give me compliments or constructive criticism by posting a comment!

What's In A Name?

Hi Guys! Have you all ever wondered how these names like google, yahoo, apple & microsoft were created? If not, I have these hilarious secrets in store for you today! Hope you enjoy reading them!

Google

Ten years ago, when Larry Page was choosing the name for his search engine, he created a major mistake! Call it a typo or blame spell check, he named his software- Googol by blunder. Page recorded the name within hours….and the result of this world famous error? Google now isn’t just a typing error but a new company worth about $10 million!

Ah! That was a deadly error with a great outcome creating a world famous industry!

Apple

The co-founder of the Apple Company, Mr. Steve Jobs, was also an Apple Farm Worker and an apple lover too! He and Steve Woznaic threatened the workers that if they didn’t come up with a better name for the company, they’d name it Apple! And this is exactly what they did!

But Mr. Steve, I’m sure you made the right decision as no one finds the name funny now!

Yahoo!

The two creators of yahoo are David Filo and Jerry Yang. This site started out as “Jerry and David’s guide to the world wide web” But seeing the uproar it created they changed the name to Yahoo, consulting a dictionary. The name Yahoo! is an acronym for "Yet Another Hierarchical Officious Oracle", but as Jerry and David insist they selected this name for the sole purpose that it’s general definition was rude, unsophisticated and uncouth!

Yahoo, is now a global brand which initially started as a student hobby. You can now communicate with people, access information and also purchase things.

This is cool! I didn’t know that yahoo was a real word but now it sounds great for the two creators!

Microsoft

The word Microsoft was created by the world famous, Bill Gates. It was initially spelt as Micro-Soft and was created because it was meant to be taken as MICRocomputer SOFTware, the short form of which is Microsoft. But later the ‘–‘ was removed and the word was called Microsoft!

This shows how intelligent Bill Gates is, also being such a great creator and the richest man (or the second richest? I’m not sure!) in the world!

I thought that the wonderful creations of these names were very funny and interesting so I brought them up before you! If you have any thoughts, you are free to express them in the form of comments!

Weird Jobs!

The world in this generation is truly competitive. Every child has to study hard and excel in his/her field to earn a proper living. But everyone isn’t capable of doing this. Or are you a workaholic stressed out and bored with your job? If so, today I'm going to inform you about some alternative jobs to consider!!

Here is a selection of strange jobs you can opt for in the future to stand out in the crowd with your unique taste of job!

Fish-liver sorter

Fish-liver sorters sort fish livers, obviously, and they do so according to species of fish and size, shape, color, and texture of liver. First, they'll cut the liver from the viscera, "using a knife," and place the liver in a "specified tub." Any diseased, spoiled and "poor-quality livers" they'll discard, luckily for us.

Caution: This isn’t the right job for you if you are a vegetarian!

Hair-boiler operator

Hair-boiler operators tend vats (A type of container such as a barrel, storage tank, or tub, often constructed of welded sheet stainless steel, and used for holding, storing, and processing liquids such as milk, wine, and beer) in which animal hair is boiled in order to curl it. Specifically, according to the occupational dictionary, they "turn valves to admit water and steam into vats and to drain water from vats after hair is boiled".

Warning: Opt out of this job if you have a sensitive nose and are allergic to boiling hair soup!

Chocolate Engineer

If you want to become an engineer, it's fine, and is a common practice around the globe. Here is something different. Like an engineer designs and makes things, a chocolate engineer designs and makes chocolates. The job of a chocolate engineer is to create various types of lip smacking chocolate recipes!

Advice: Surely, I should give preference to such a job in future but I’m afraid that instead of making them, I’ll be the first one to eat up all of them!

Cryptozoologist

It is the search for animals believed to exist, but for which conclusive evidence is missing. The field also includes the search for known animals believed to be extinct. People who study or search for such animals are called cryptozoologists, while the hypothetical creatures involved are called "cryptids”.

Note: An interesting job, huh? Fascinated by Unicorns or Big Foot? Then this is certainly the right job for you!

Rodeo clown

A rodeo clown is a rodeo performer who works on bull riding contests. Rodeo clowns have one of the more dangerous jobs in show business, because their job's stuntman requirements — improvisational comedy with half-wild bulls — expose them to a range of potential injuries from the bulls. As a result, injuries to rodeo clowns are common.

Beware: So, do you have the guts for this one? But this is certainly an adventurous one, guys!

I hope you all liked my new job as a career counselor and also hope that you might decide to change your profession after reading about these interesting and out of the common jobs! Or do you have different opinions? I’d surely love to hear about them and can only do so, if you post a comment!

A Whooping 655 Million Dollar Gift!

While flipping through the newspaper yesterday, my eyes boggled out as I read this news. It was about Mr. Mukesh Ambani, an Indian businessman, who is now the richest man in the world. Mr. Ambani, recently gifted his wife (Neeta Ambani) a…a…whooping 655 million dollar (Rupees 242 crore) corporate jet.

This gift has a business office and a cabin management system for games, music, satellite television and wireless communication! But more interestingly, it has a master bedroom, master lavatory with a range of showers, galleries and a sky bar in the forward lounge complete with mood lighting!

I let out a huge gasp as I read this news. How lucky! A private jet! I would have considered myself lucky enough if I had an artificial small toy plane as a gift. But this is unbelievable!

This gift would be something that anyone would cherish! And why not? It’s so grand and lavish after all! I wish from the bottom of my heart that I too could buy something like this when I grow up.

I still can’t stop envying this! A private jet as a birthday gift! That’s absolutely fantastic! I believe that after reading this post, all of you must be wishing that you too had something like this. I pray to God that all of us do receive something great like this in our future!

So what do you all think about this? Do you too don’t believe it? Or you think it’s fabulous? Do try to share your views and ideas with me by posting a comment!

The Poor Rotating Kitty!

This morning when I woke up, I didn’t feel myself. And the reason was that ….that ….. I wasn’t myself! I had a coat of black fur with white spots on it. I had sharp claws and paws instead of the usual nails and legs. Oh yes! I had turned into a cat.

I took this as a boon and decided to explore the house today. Suddenly, I remembered how curious I had been yesterday when I’d seen my mother washing clothes in our new washing machine. Strange it is, or you might think it’s craziness but I’ve always wanted to know how the inside of a washing machine would be.

So today when I’d got the opportunity, I made full use of it. I quietly slipped into the washing machine and discovered this new place. It was cozy and warm but not wet. It felt really comfortable. But this was the most devastating thing! It was such a luxury that I didn’t realize I had fallen asleep inside the washing machine.

And cats, as you know, are really lazy. So I too, wasn’t awake before I heard some deafening machine sound. It took me only a few seconds to understand that the machine was on work. My mother was washing clothes in it!

But before I could do anything I helplessly started rotating in the machine. Round and round and round and round and round……… that’s only what I felt. Oh yes, How could I also forget that churning sensation inside my stomach. I screamed loudly for help ……but only if I could! I had no voice. So I helplessly lay there turning around when a scream echoed in my mind. Ahhhhhhhhhhhh…………………

Oh OK friends! I was just kidding. And if you’re wondering this story isn’t my imagination but a reality, which I turned into a story happening with myself. Yes, a ten week old kitten has experienced a spin in the washing machine. Poor Molly was only rescued when her owner, Bethany Hall, saw her through her machine door. Molly and her owner are residents of County Durham. And I‘m sure that all cat lovers would be glad to know that Molly did survive this helpless spin in the washing machine after all, and is currently consulting her veterinary doctor!

A Cow Sent To Jail!

It is common to hear people being taken into police custody because of their rash driving which causes many accidents. But have you ever heard of a cow being taken into custody by the officials? I suppose not, but hold your breath because this is exactly what happened in Cambodia.

A Cambodian cow was arrested by the police and was charged for causing traffic accidents. And also if the police officials are to be believed, at least six people have died in this accident. The cow was standing right in the middle of the road when a 66 year old motorcyclist crashed into him and died.

According to the reports the owner of the cow could also face a 6 month jail. This is because of the new traffic law which has been formed. It says that the owner would be held responsible for any accidents caused by his animal.

I pity the poor owner of this cow who has to suffer terribly due to his animal. I wonder what happened to the cow when the motorcyclist crashed into him and died. But don’t you people think that it is stupid and even unfair too to jail an animal if it naively causes some accidents? If a car rides right over the innocent body of a cat or dog why isn’t that driver jailed?

I hope at least some people can answer my question and wish that you are the first one. So go on, write a comment guys!
