I've really got a plethora of awards this season....looks like I certainly am around!

The Million Dollar Friend Award is from my elder brother Sourish Bhaiya and really means a lot.....you know how it feels when a brother gifts something to his sister :P Thanks BRO....it really is very special!!

Ahaaa….isn't it an enormous list? (eekss….my exaggeration, long would've been better….enormous looks as if it's touching the moon or something!)

Now tell me, what do I do? I think it would have been tons easier if I had found a title on my own rather than sifting through such lovely titles. All of them a totally wonderful and far more than difficult to select one!

So now, I had to decide upon one so finally after a lot of headaches to choose one, I decided to go with my title as :-

The Pain Of Love- suggested by Don.

Thanks a lot dear Don…..really liked this loads!!

But I also liked two other titles which I'd certainly like to mention. One of them is Midnight Rendezvous by Sameera di and End Of A Beginning by Divi di....thanks a lot to both di's.....Sameera di always writes such beautiful pieces that I knew she'd suggest a good one and Divi di was too good too :)

Thanks you once again Don aka I'm A Lover Of Childrens Literature, for that wonderful title.

As to all others- Anand, Rahul, Aayu, Anu, Lena, Vandita, Rajesh, Sourish bhaiya, Solitaire, Manic, Sach, Phosgene kidd, Shrav, Pratap, Aravind, CN,Robin, Mishra, Guy, Angel, all others of my StumbleUpon and BlogCatalog friends and everyone who helped me but I've missed out on their names.....

Something Different!

Hi friends! This post of mine is not the usual story or poem but something I had been longing to write. I have written three entirely things in this post and hope you all have something in it for all of you! ENJOY :D

My Hidden Hobby

I am sure that I have not told you anything about my interest in drawings & paintings. Recently, one of the readers appreciated me about my art thinking that it was done by a professional, I was very much delighted. No....nothing big, I am just an amateur artist, along with being a budding blogger!

So when my dad presented me with a digital camera on my last birthday, I could not resist the temptation of digitizing some of my drawings (and I have also include them in some of my posts).So today, I thought I would put them before you for you all to judge. Actually, I hope you all can bear with it...LOL! I have put some of my paintings throughout this post!

A Great Start Of The Year

I recently received an award from a fellow Indian blogger and a very good friend, Anoop. He has made the beginning of the year prosperous for me by giving me the 'Bloggers Of The World Award'. Anoop, a lovely motivator and the owner of a fabulous blog has given me a really pleasant surprise (as he says it was for him too! ) Thank you for the honor, dear Anoop!

Online Chess

I had earlier mentioned that I have avid interest in chess. For those who do not know, I would like to mention that I am a National Chess Player (recently played the under-12 age group and earlier under-7 age group etc.) and had faired well in all these tournaments. My role models were the International Women Grandmasters like Koneru Humpy and Susan Polgar. I too wanted to become like one of them.

But of late due to my writing commitments, lethargy, laziness, distraction, studies, blogging or whatever reason you may suggest, I have reduced practicing chess these days. But last month, when my good friend, excellent blogger and a real chess enthusiast, Nikita encouraged me to play chess. She asked me to register with the online chess platform Chess.com and I could neither resist the temptation nor refuse her request. So I have registered with chess.com and here is my profile in that. Nikita, in her beautiful blog Chessalee shows many interesting games from Chess.com, which is delightful to follow!

Though I have finished about 15-20 games only (with around 10 in progress), I am glad that I could win more than 80% of the games I played (of which most of them are experienced grown-up players :D). Chess.com is a wonderful platform to lay your hands on, of course, if any of you are interested in chess. Any other chess enthusiast reading my blog is free to invite me for a game!

Hi friends! So you want to know about me? I’m a twelve year old Indian girl and my name is Meghna. (Edit: I have become a teenager -13 now!) I’m a student and I love to read books. Life is bare without them.

Oh no, I’m not a book worm but a student, hard working (or is it hardly working!!), a real prankster, you know, like all other kids out there! I like to play chess, doing taekwondo, draw and paint, watch T.V (at all times!), listen to music and at times, day-dream!! And one of my favorite past-times is writing. I love to write. I am fond of having a paper and pen and writing short stories or poems.

I started blogging to improve my writing; I really did. Famous scientists don't start with great inventions – they start on small experiments, and even when planning a great work, they do many other trial and errors in preparation. I think writing is the same. You just don't start and finish a story by merrily typing into the computer; you experiment. Blogging is sort of like a writer's doodling. So this is my scratch pad of sorts.

Blogoshphere Is Bustling With Life!

With New Year around the corner, the activity on the blogosphere is bustling with life! Everyone around here is very active, tagging people, passing meme, giving awards and a lot of contests going on! But today, I discovered that I’ve so many pending tags to be finished! As the saying goes ‘a stitch in time saves nine’, I too decided to finish them all off today itself!

New Year Resolutions

The first one on my list is a….oh O.K!...no million bucks for guessing…a meme!

I’ve been tagged to do a meme on New Year Resolutions by Anoop at 'Tales of A lone wolf!' I couldn’t say no of course, as it sounds so much fun! So here I go……….

I haven’t ever made a New Year Resolution before as I thought it was only for adults and not for children. But now, I’ve understood that anyone who has a strong will power and mental strength to carry on a promise with her/him the whole year is free to make one!

After stirring my mental machinery to work for a little time, I’ve at last come up with the following New Year Resolutions:

1. To win one of the online writing contest this year and make my parents look with pride at the award I receive!
2. To become the President of the Literary Club at my school this year and for that I’ve to be an active member submitting original stories and poems to the school magazine! I know this is a bit tough, but I’ll try my best to fulfill my New Year Resolutions.
3. My final resolution is that I’ll make a New Year Resolution each year and fulfill it every time!

I thank Anoop for giving me such a wonderful meme to do, but I won’t pass it on to anyone as I’m not sure who all would like to do it! So anyone who likes it is free to do the meme!

A Story for Me!

Once again, my friend, mentor and a great writer, Don, has written a story for me in his blog 'My 2 Cents 4 The Day'. It features me as a girl named Meghna and is all about me. I’m surprised about how much hard work Don has put in to make this story. Being a foreigner, he has given an Indian background to the story which is based in Mumbai and he has also given all the characters an Indian name! In the particular story he has given me the character of a successful writer, my only dream!

The story is titled 'A Story 4 Meghna - The Coughing Coffin'

I’m grateful to Don for his hard work, sincerity and the effort he has put in this venture! More of that, I’m glad to have such sincere and loyal friends, readers and motivators!
