The Stones I Threw!

My neighbor’s window was my aim

But if it fell on my Aunt’s head

Surely only I was to blame

So I decided to take my brother’s aid

Armed to head and toe with stones

I threw them at my neighbor’s window

And I was tickled to my bones

When my neighbor did withdraw

After playing this naughty prank

I ran as fast as I can

And the next day I really shrank

As the stones came back to me from that man!

Blogging Ideas - Where Do They Come From?

Hi guys! Today I thought I’d write something different from the usual stories, poems or oddities! After reading all your encouraging comments on my blog, I noticed that many of you out there are wondering where I get my ideas for posts from. Now, get ready cause I’m going to tell you all about my secret ideas!

Ideas are like your shadows. They follow you everywhere you go! They follow you to the garden, the playground, the school and even the bathroom. You can find ideas all around yourself! But your work is only to observe.

We’ve all made long tales about some lie at school to pour parents or teachers. Don’t you deny that! So, what’s the need for an idea? They’ll just pop up in your mind if you don’t find them.

O.K! Now I’ll tell you about myself. Most of my ideas come from my daily life. While coming back from school one day, I saw a girl on the wheelchair. She had a depressed expression o her face. That was a fabulous idea for me. And that is the day that I posted the story about "Special Child!"

I have twin sisters in my school about whom I always get confused on who’s who, which inspired me to write a story on "The Naughtiest Prankster".

Many a times I see a small beggar girl on my way to the market and I decided to write a story about her which came in the form of “Oh, Lord, Bless Her Poor Soul!“.

The poem “The Fascinating Beauty Of Nature” came into my mind while sitting on a bench in the beautiful park near my house.

To tell you my great trick, I always carry a “Pocket Idea Notebook” and pen to everywhere I travel! So what we’ve got to do is just to observe the surroundings and….abracadabra!..…..You’ve got a fabulous idea coming to your mind! I hope that now all of those inquisitive souls wondering about where I get all my ideas from, you know now!

Now get ready! Observe and write! You don’t know what you’ll come out with!!

Katie's Fate!

Poor Katie had a headache

So she decided to bake a cake

The cake was a fabulous cupcake

And after eating it, Katie had a toothache

So she decided to take a break

But couldn’t help remaining wide awake

Then suddenly she saw a snake

And got a really frightening shake

She put her dear life on stake

And jumped into the nearby lake

Thus, her day was spoilt and for goodness’ sake

I hope you don’t have a day like Katie and her cake!

Library ..... Is It The Crazy Place?

“What do you think is the best place in the world?”, asked my friend as we walked home together down the lane. “hmmm….For me it is the Library, I suppose”, I answered back. “The Library”, said my friend in complete disbelief, “you must be crazy”. Then she hurried to her house leaving me far behind pondering over my thoughts. What wrong had I said after all? Why did she think I was crazy? If you all too have the same thoughts I am back once again to convince you that the library, is after all, the best place in this whole wide world!

I am a person who believes that there is bliss in solitude. Oh no! I am not really shy or timid but yes, I would much prefer the sole company of books than any other acquaintance. And according to me there is no other better place for me to enjoy life for eternity in the companionship of my dear books.

In my opinion the library is a temple of knowledge. It is an abode of enlightening books. The books in the library enhance our vocabulary and also confer general knowledge to us. Some students in this modern and high-tech world beget studious habits. So the library creates a fondness for books even after school.

The wonderful reference books in the library also help me to complete my home-work assignments and make my projects. The serene atmosphere of the Library is what I love. The calm and quite surroundings help all of us to maintain our peace of mind and concentrate in our work.

Visiting the Library is a fine way to spend your leisure time constructively in the company of books. A book is the life blood of an author and a treasure of wisdom. Thus, the abundant books at the Library also teaches a person moral values which are an important asset foe a good life.

So guys, have you all changed your opinion after reading this post? Now do you all think that the Library is a great place? Your answers and opinions are open heartedly welcome and remember that your comments are very precious as I’m still having conflicting thoughts if I should show this post to that friend of mine. Would she change her opinion? So, please do leave a comment!

The Special Child!

Conflicting thoughts filled Aria’s mind. It had been a week since she had last seen her old palatial bungalow as she had now shifted to a fancy new house near the beach. There was a park nearby but Aria had never been there to play.

Aria was a shy and timid girl aged eleven. She had a lot of trouble making her old friends who were her sole companion. She liked company but was frightened to make new acquaintances and socialize. So she still had no people to play with and lived in solitude.

She dearly missed her old companions, their games, their dolls and their smiling faces always there to help her. That evening Aria’s mother had told her to go to the new park, make friends and enjoy herself. Aria had agreed thinking she could do it. But now, her mind varied.

There were numerous children in the lively park. They belonged to different age groups. Some were just toddlers riding a tricycle or some were third graders running around like crazy. There were many children of her age enjoying themselves in a game of hide and seek or soccer and cricket. Aria had also got her new ball that she had got as a gift on her last birthday.

Unfortunately, she didn’t know what to do. Should she just go and join them? Would they let her play? As these thoughts rummaged through her mind she saw a little girl of her age sitting on a wheelchair nearby. She looked lonely without any companion. There was suddenly a whiz and the soccer ball bounded towards the poor girl in great fury.

Without thinking Aria showed great courage for this stranger. She leapt up from her place and ran towards the ball. She stopped it with her hand as it was going to hit Agnate. She was the disabled girl on the wheelchair. The children who were playing were amazed y her thunderstorm speed and great athletic ability.

As days passed Aria still remembered her first day in her park, her meeting with her best friend, Agnate who was a great scholar and differently or specially able child (as Aria called her). Now she was in the school and local soccer teams and Agnate was her best cheerleader. She was the best friend of her life.

Aria and Agnate had an unbreakable bond. Now being with Agnate who was simply outgoing, she was no more the shy girl of her past. She had now become really sociable and friendly with everyone.

Tears filled her mother’s eyes as she saw her child going hand in hand with Agnate pushing her wheelchair. She still couldn’t imagine that Aria had been a timid and shy girl just a week ago but now there was a drastic change in her! And all this was only due to her meeting with her new friend, the specially abled Agnate.
