Is Writing A Passion Or Is It An Obsession?
I will be talking about something different today. About writing.... about blogging....
To start with, here is a quick question to all my readers and bloggers. Are you really passionate about your writing? Or are you even obsessed with blogging?
Blogging is all about having fun
Lying down too you can have it done
Oh! It's very amusing
Glad that you all are joining
Guys if you don't do it
I can't help you a bit
Now that this poem is ending
Got to tell you it forms blogging!
Now, back to my question to you! Do you get some thrill out of your writing or will it incite some sparks inside you when you come up with something new to tell the world? I was reading this article recently: Finding Pssion in Your Blog, where the author says:
Further, in this post about Passion is the key ingredient to successful blogging, the writer rightly says:* You think about blogging on the subject constantly, at work, at play, in the night.
* The subject is usually first in your head when you wake up in the morning.
* You keep coming back to the subject matter on your blog.
* It's the largest collection of posts in your post categories.
* You find yourself smiling when you hit the Publish button.
* You can't stop talking about it.
When you write about what you are passionate about, readers will feel it too, and the entire process of writing will be more enjoyable as well.
According to me, I am writing what I write because:
I love what I write
I write what I'm about
I know about what I write
I enjoy my writing
I know it's fun to write about it
I take pride in what I write
I have to write what I write
I want to tell the world about it
Now what do you think about yourself? Do you think that your writing is a compulsive passion or is it a nagging obsession? I would love to know!!

everytime, writing is a very difficult passion.it is never a fun.
for me writing is well about spark...i write only when i am inspired to ...

To me its a passion. The ability to gain some readership is really encouraging. Its self expression !!!
I don't actually even like writing... But I am totally passionate and even obsessed by math and puzzles. I can write about them, but I could not write fictional stories ;(
Blogging is becoming an obsession for me, writing is the means for that obsession. I enjoy it, and have always want to write. I just didn't think I was any good. Blogging gives me that outlet, that opportunity to practice and play.

Writing about anything is 'writing' - even though it's about math & puzzles (as you are so passionate about them). But when you tell about them to the world, it takes a wonderful form of your writing. isn't it? Thanks!

I agree with you. Blogging gives you exposure to your experiences and is a wonderful outlet for all your writing. The main thing is that you should enjoy it; as I'm sure you already do :)

What is described above as passion or obsession, I think in the terms of flowing and forming.
Blogging (flowing) as a process where you can pour out your heart (and mind), question and validate ideas, mind and thoughts, get judgement on it and in this the possibility to pour out more. A matter of inspiration.
Forming, this the challenge to the personality of the blogger (of myself), getting into interaction with readers and other bloggers.
Nevertheless making new connections of subjects, thoughts, people. A matter of creation.

I've always written. Blogging is just a great way to share my writing - so it's a natural for me. As it happens, I also make money blogging so it's perfect for me :D

When I started writing it was just a hobby but I think its turning into a passion.

For many of us, I think, a hobby has turned into a passion and probably, no looking back... thanks.
I would say that I am more passionate about the people behind the blogging and long for part of the social communities that we all try to make for ourselves and each other.
There's always something to write about .. but, I wouldn't say that I a passionate blogger .. just a passionate earthling!
I would have to say that I am very obsessed with recycled crafting and I have a passion for blogging about it. I love to share my ideas and help others discover the joys of green crafting. Recently I've begun to blog about my experiences with cancer which I call my pink journey. It's been very therapeutic to blog about my experiences and I hope it helps others out there deal and understand this beast.

i don't really know if what i feel about writing is passion or something beyond it. i'll always be a person who can xpress myself more clearly thru words rather than verbally. whenever i do something interesting or go somewhere interesting, i write it down on a piece of paper if comp is inaccessible. so yeah im passionate about writing tho can't say d same about blogging i guess
i love to let the emotions inside me come out in the form of words...and that is why i love writing...its like an outlet for me...

Writing for me is an obsession and blogging is starting to get there for me. I love to write because if I get an idea that gets in my head and won't come out and I write a poem or short story about that idea I feel a big sense of accomplishment.

I write for myself first and for my dears in blogging. I am writing about my world which has everything to share with others, for readers and my dear friends. There is no urge whether I should write or not, it depends on interest and nothing could be expressed without interest. You are one of an interesting and inspiring writer to others including me.

I can very well connect to this post! I have been trying to tell people about my passion for writing. It doesnt matter how people rate your writing, you do it cause you feel so good doing it. You simply enjoy writing each and every word and could spend hours on a stretch not knowing it! Right?
